Mission Accomplished!

Poor T was pawned off on my trial partner Marie and her kids. They had lots of fun and I got some work done. No one died or was injured in the process! Unfortunately, the picnic was cancelled due to rain, that never really came. So, Marie took the girls off to the mall with another friend, who needed to buy a princess dress for her daughter. Said daughter, K, is turning 3 and her party is this weekend coming up.

We've been to some parties that this family has thrown in the past. I can't tell you how elaborate they are. There's usually about 100 people attending, I kid you not. Its usually in a park. Here's an array of things they have had in the past at just ONE party:

  • three bounce houses, the biggest kind,
  • a train,
  • clowns,
  • ferris wheel
  • snow cone machine,
  • cotton candy machine,
  • ice cream machine
  • hordes of food and drinks
  • prof. photographer to photo each kid. You're then given the photo in a frame at the end of the party.
  • Don't get me started on the loot bags. She must spend about 20.00 apiece on them.

It is absolutely impossible to try and compete with her and these parties, because they are just so outlandish and ostentacious and downright fun. A true kid fantasy come true. No one even attempts to try compete! How can you possibly beat the perfect party?? The kids have a ball though. Poor T, she's lucky to get a cake, ice cream, and pin the tail on the donkey!

This years theme?

Princesses. What else, huh?

The birthday girl will be festooned in Cinderella gear. Ergo the trip to the mall today. Hopefully, T's sleeping beauty dress will arrive in time, and she'll be in that if it fits.

That's it for now. I'm off to do some more work. T is sleeping at the moment due to her big day with no naps.

A marvelous plan was made in the stars,
to create a miracle across the ocean so far....
Then entwine and weave all the hopes and labor,
it would take to bring us this joy called "Taylor"....
Now three lives are blessed and somewhere in the stars,
the planners are smiling, as we all are.
