Back to Normal

...yep, things are back to normal around here. T is happily eating spaghetti for dinner, drinking chocolate milk, and talking about being a princess for Halloween. I'm happy to report we have survived the brief 24 hour foray into the twi-light zone world of robots and superheroes.

I got a notice today that the preschool has been invited to trick or treat the Mayor, on the 29th floor of the 111 building. She's very excited to be going up so high. Later that day, they'll have a party and parade. She's been given the OK to wear her costume to school, with the proviso that no monsters, superheros, or other scary costumes are allowed. Apparently the school puts the nix on superhero costumes b/c the superheroes apparantly start fighting each other. The poor boys are relegated to being cowboys, indians, and sports heroes.

Looks like I'll be whipping out the sewing machine, which I bought over a year ago and have never used. I'll be attempting to repair T's poor Snow White costume that didn't survive the weekend party. Wish me luck. I've only used a sewing machine once in my life, at my Aunt Connie's house. Don't remember much, only something about "tying off the ends".

Maybe Aunt Jodie can fix it on the machine....

A marvelous plan was made in the stars,
to create a miracle across the ocean so far....
Then entwine and weave all the hopes and labor,
it would take to bring us this joy called "Taylor"....
Now three lives are blessed and somewhere in the stars,
the planners are smiling, as we all are.
