The Cone of Misery is Back

...yep, right on schedule, we're once again the bull's eye in the most recent Cone of Misery produced by Hurricane Ike. This one appears to be a particularly strong one. Small and fast-moving, like Andrew was. Crap.
I'll be stocking up on provisions this weekend...just in case. Though it looks like it would hit to the north of us, one can never be sure. Andrew was supposed to directly hit us in north Dade, but at the last minute turned south instead, and clobbered Homestead and other parts south. You just never know. Good thing those Republicans are busy supposedly fundraising for Hurrican relief. Wonder if anybody will ever see it?
Whatever.
Say a prayer that it veres off to the north and then out to sea.

We also hate the Cone of Misery, we are awaiting Hanna today. Mitch got our supplies yesterday. Fortunately it looks like she will stay a Tropical Storm and we won't be seeing a Hurricane head up the Cape Fear River.

Be safe!!! We're watching the weather up here hoping everyone stays safe. We still have a house there too so I hope Ike stays far away.
Go away cone!!!!

A marvelous plan was made in the stars,
to create a miracle across the ocean so far....
Then entwine and weave all the hopes and labor,
it would take to bring us this joy called "Taylor"....
Now three lives are blessed and somewhere in the stars,
the planners are smiling, as we all are.
