Yep, the weekend has pretty much done me in. Hot on the heels of T's performance at the mall referenced below, she woke up the next morning and peed in my bed. Luckily for me, I had already gotten out. I was so mad I can't tell you. I'm not sure what's up with this sudden spat of inappropriate pee'ing, but its got to stop. Thank god for waterproof mattress pads!
I also discovered that T has lost a special key. Remember that nifty mirror/jewelry cabinet I bought a few months back? Yep, the key to that. My jewelry is now locked up and inaccessible until the thing is found our I figure out how to buy a new one. If I've told her once, I told her a million times not to play with it. Looked last night, and it was gone. No idea where it is.
Regarding my other two "children" ....Spent today cleaning out the last 1/2 of my parent's closet. Lets just say that it was a dirtier job than any of you could imagine. Yikes. One little gem I found inside was a bag of sheer curtain panels...8 of them. Receipt says they were purchased in 1977. As I recall, my mom was on a sheer curtain kick back then, and put them on all the windows in the house. She LOVED them. Of course, over the last 32 years, they've basically decayed where they hung and I got rid of most of them about 10 yrs ago. I put these "new" ones up on my mom's bedroom windows and she's thrilled. Plus, they actually look nice. Of course, they make the actual curtains that they hang behind look that much worse. The curtains are a bit older...circa 1969. New curtains is just one more item on the long list of things to do there.
Lastly, I'm about to purchase a new twin mattress set to be delivered there, so that I can sleep there if necessary. The ones they have in the guest room are circa 1969 as well. No way to sleep in it with my back. Its like sinking down into a marshmellow.
So, I'm thrilled to be back to work tomorrow...even though it will only be part-time. I'll be overseeing roofers for part of the day at a building that my dad owns. It, too, is a mess and I'm trying to sort that out as well.
That's it for now. I'm waiting for Wednesday with everything I have...its a holiday for me and school is in session. I'm going to try and do some xmas shopping, since I'll be by myself away from prying eyes. I'll indulge in a bit of retail therapy and alchoholic therapy at lunch, and there won't be any little mischief makers around to kill my buzz. Fabulous!
Night, night, all...

I'm Exhausted

A marvelous plan was made in the stars,
to create a miracle across the ocean so far....
Then entwine and weave all the hopes and labor,
it would take to bring us this joy called "Taylor"....
Now three lives are blessed and somewhere in the stars,
the planners are smiling, as we all are.
