Back To School

After all the excitement of the carnival, our sickness, and TG day, it was nice to get back into our normal routine. We were at school a bit too early, and had to wait for it to open. Took the opportunity to snap a few shots. This picture here is the outside of the old convent, now preK classrooms. Each class decorates one of the alcove/porch walls.
Apparantly they've been very busy preparing for thanksgiving. Here's T pointing to her work or art...a pilgrim which she quickly stated, who is wearing lipstick. Yep, that looks like alot of red lipstick.
Here's T pointing to her turkey...it the one up at the top in the corner. She was very proud of her work.

Meanwhile, I took the day off, as I was on medical jitney duty. Had an appointment for my mom at the dr., and then at the last minute made one for my dad as well, when he deigned to consent to go. He has a deep, almost genetic aversion to all things medical, so it was a big deal when he consented to go. He's been living with unregulated diabetes for the last few years. We got a new script for some medicine, and he actually took one. I also scored some disabled parking permits for my mom, who can barely walk 20 feet without assistence. They were thrilled with that. So, tomorrow for me its back to work.

Day at the Zoo, Part II

We paused for lunch in the kid's area, which was a mistake. I took one bite of my burger and chucked the whole thing. It tasted like decaying game burger. The pungent smell from the camel rides didn't help either.

So, T ran and was climbing all over a huge rock climbing thing, when we ran into our friends!
Julie and her sisters were there with their kids. T's zoo experience improved at that point 1000%. She loved looking at all the animals with the big kids. Here's T and Zack posing at the elephant exhibit. I cropped out the elephants, as you can only see their butts...not such a great view!
So we walked around 1/2 the park, which was far enough, and then left. T was on the edge, if you know what I mean. Now, we're happily at home again.

So ends our day at the zoo!

A Day at the Zoo, Part I

Since the cold snap is still here, we decided to head off to the Metro Zoo. We'd never been before. Have I mentioned I hate the zoo? Here's T and my sissy, Aunt Dot, posing at the beginning of our long, long, long trek. Did I mention that it was long? ...and we only did 1/2 the park b/c SOMEBODY was getting cranky.
T's favorite part of it were the lighted animals, that weren't lit up. She'd get all excited saying, "Oooh, there's a lion".
There was a nice little children's area, where we spent alot of time. There was a carousel that we rode even though T once again refused to get on the actual horses, there were stinky camel rides that she also balked at.
There was also a children's petting zoo, that I was sure she'd be terrified of, given her general reaction to dogs and cats. Nope, mom's wrong once again. She let the thing eat out of her hand like she'd been doing it all her life.

Then as we were playing around something really special happened...

Mission Accomplished....Sort of

Armed with my array of ads, I went tearing out this morning bright and early. However, I made a HUGE tactical error. I slept in. Didn't leave the house til 6:50 a.m. On an upnote, I headed to JCP, and scored 2 xmas dresses for T. They were on clearance and came with a bonus doll dress. The maker is "Cinderella" and they are truly beautiful. I've seen the same brand in Macy's for more money, so was thrilled to see them on clearance. T is thrilled, too. I can't seem to get her out of the thing, now. I also scored something for me to wear to the xmas parties this year. Content with my purchases, I left to finish executing my plan.
Next stop was the toy store. Good lord. At 8:15 a.m., there were barely any spots in the parking lot. That should have told me something. All of the the sale items I had carefully studied and made notes about were frickin SOLD OUT. What a bust. I was figuring that since I was relatively early and that there is a cold snap in the old swamp, people would stay in. This town loses its mind when it gets into the 60's. People either stay in or, more inexplicably, drive 20 miles UNDER the speed limit when its cold. But I digress. The store had opened at midnight, so the shelves were bare.

I left the toy store and made for Office M@x. There, at least, I scored presents for all my friends, so the morning was not a total loss.

So ends my first foray into Black Friday, in over 4 years. Next time, i may just stick to the internet.

Plan of Attack

I've been studying my cache of ads all evening, and like a four star general, have formulated a plan of attack for the wee hours of the morning. Still haven't decided just how early I'll be going out. So far, the plan is to go around 5:00 a.m. Of course, that's all dependent upon how sleepy I actually feel at the appointed time.

We survived T'giving this year without any incident. The food was delish, and everybody was stuffed.

Happy Black Friday Everyone!

HAPPY THANKSGIVING!

We're very busy watching the Macy's Parade and T is dancing around the house to the music, and trying to drag dot and I into her performance, with varying degrees of success. I've already culled a few pertinent ads from the slew that arrived this morning, and I'll be studying and comparing them later tonight. Cant wait.

As usual, Dot is cooking up a feast. Meanwhile, I'm on jitney duty. I'll be leaving to collect my Aunt Connie who is up in Sunrise and my parents, deliver them here, then drive them home. We're vowing that no one will drive into the house this year, and no one will go to the ER.

So far, so good.

Hope everybody has a great Turkey Day!

Typhoid Taylor

T stayed home today with Dot, and I went into work for only a 1/2 day. Guess who else has been infected by my loving child? That's right, Jodie and Jack both report that they promptly came down witht he same symptoms on Sunday and Monday. Welcome to my world, right?

I'm going to keep T home tomorrow as well, as its only a 1/2 day. Hopefully, we're on the mend. T didn't have a temp today until the afternoon, and it was barely a temp at that. So, I think we're on the mend.

To get out of Aunt Dot's hair, since she was working all day, I took T off to the Nordstrom restaurant and mall. If I do say so myself, its beginning to look alot like Christmas, all around the town...

Diagnosis is in...

T has an upper respiratory infection that just needs to work itself out, and we're only to treat the symptoms. Her low grade fever continues to come and go. Of course, what has my ever-loving daughter done?

INFECTED HER MOTHER!

Yep, I spent the day suffering from a sore throat and the chills...which means I probably have a low grade fever, too. Unlike my darling daughter, though, I don't lose my appetite when sick. At least if it knew I'd lose a few pounds, it would make the whole ordeal more palatable, so to speak. But no, I think I pretty much would have to be at death's door, before I'd ever lose my appetite...or in a coma. Damn.

Anyway, I'm certain that this will exacerbate my asthma, so I'm hoping I can head that off at the pass.

That's it for now.

Fever

...and not carnival fever. Last night and today T has had a low fever...100.9. Starting to get sniffles and a wet cough.

Poor baby.

She's been vaccinated for all the flus, so lets hope its not that.

We're off to the doctor on monday. Luckily, Dot is off work and can take her.

Faring well at the Fair

We fared much better tonight at the fair. T rode the bumper cars again with Dot, the merry go round a few times (once even by herself), and had a ball doing this jumping thing. They strap the kids in to elastic ropes, pull it tight, and the kids jump really high.

Here's T hamming up as she was waiting her turn.
They strapped her in...
...and the rest was a blurr as she jumped her heart out!

Pollo Grande Y Gordo

Yep, that's my little girl...a big, fat chicken. We got to the park this morning, and T was very excited. She was eyeing the big slide, and actually deigned to go on it. That's T leading the way up the stairs with some other little girls.

Problem was coming down.

Poor thing had a scared look on her face as she came flying down, and pronounced that she was "just a little scared". She then refused to go on anything else. Sigh.

Of course, this was after I realized that rides were 3 tickets apiece vs 1. That meant that my 2 books of tickets was only 12 rides. I went and bought 4 more books to last the whole weekend. Somehow, I think I'll be giving away tickets.

So instead, we came home and decorated the old xmas tree. I think it looks particularly good this year. The pic doesn't do it justice. It literally sparkles. The tree skirt is new. I bought it at downtown disney this year. Look close, and you'll see mouse ears in the design. Its gorgeous! Reminds me of a jeweled Indian sari.

Of course, my most prized ornament I received last year...my Obama Angel ornament that you see near T's head.
Anyway, we returned tonight to the carnival, where Dot only worked an hour. She was moved from the burger hut to the corn on the cob hut. I relieved her after her first hour, and did a stint myself, while she walked around the carnival. Let's just say I was a geneous to sign us up for the 8 p.m. to 10 stint, so we didn't cook along with the corn.

Jodie and Jack met us, and Jack coaxed T into riding the merry go round (that's T's back with Jack) and the bumper cars. Word is, she was fine on the bumper cars until the end, when some young boy bumped the heck out of their car, in a head on collision. That was it for rides for the rest of the night.

As I said (en espanol) she's a big fat chicken!

Mysteries of Life

Why is it, that one can check all the lights on a strand, and they all light beautifully and brightly before you put them on the tree, only to go out AFTER you've decorated the whole damn thing?

It happens EVERY. FRICKIN'. YEAR!!!!!!

all is well...

Potential catastrophe averted! Found out to day that T is not limited to attending the carnival tomorrow from 9 - 10. She can arrive and leave at anytime between 9 and 1 p.m.

Whew.

This may actually work out better. T has a whole posse of fans at school. I estimate that the posse is in the 4th or 5th grade. They always come over and say hi as we're walking in or out of school and give T a big hug, sometimes picking her up. Those girls will be at the fair tomorrow from 10:30 - 11:30 or so. When informed that T is a big fat chicken when it comes to carnival rides, they have all individually volunteered to ride a ride with her.

Too sweet.

So, new plan is that I'll go into work, deal with my case, then collect up T and perhaps Leonor and off we'll go to the fair. We'll return at night and ride the rides while poor aunt Dot will be stuck flipping burgers at the hamburger hut.

Stand by for some fun pics!

Crap

...that pain in the neck 4.5 yr old case that wont go away and is set to spoil my thanksgiving vacation, was reset from today to FRIDAY, for the defendant to "think about" the plea. My Q is what the hell is there to think about? Its the same plea for the last 4.5 years. I couldn't object, though, b/c I got the judge to rescind a ruling he had made a few weeks ago, which was extremely important to my case. Gotta pick your fights wisely. The problem is, as Close readers of this fair blog will recall, that FRIDAY is the first day of the carnival, and T's class is slated to ride the rides from 9 - 10. I'll be in court at 9:30. You have no idea how mad I am.

New plan, is to get Leonor over here early, and perhaps drop them off at the carnival, while I go up the street to court, then return after court to pick them up and take them home. Leonor doesn't drive.

What an absolute pain in my ass.

Carnival Mania

Yes, indeed, carnival mania continues to build all week. Its almost at a fever pitch now. Don't know if T will be able to stand it. Carnival rides have been rolling in to T's school for the past few days. Today, I arrived to pick her up to discover that they are setting them up. All the kids are fascinated by it.

Festivities start on Friday. No school for preK, but they can ride the rides from 9 - 10 on Friday morning. Carnival is closed to all but students on Friday during the day, then opens to the public that evening. Our family is required to donate 2 hours of volunteer time, to work the carnival. PreK is in charge of the hamburger stand. Lucky for me, Aunt Dot has kindly volunteered to man it from 8 - 10 on friday night. I'm busy praying that her plane on thursday night is not delayed in any way!

Hot on the heels of T's stellar performance with the SA, Mrs. M reports that T cut a bit if her hair today in school. Mrs. M dealt with the situation, so in keeping with my new, non-type-A method of mothering, I'm ignoring the incident.

Hope you all have a great night.

Meeting with the State Attorney

Despite what one might think upon viewing this photo, the State Attorney did not call a meeting to discuss my little 4 yr old felon's antics at school the other day, of "Throwing a deadly missile" (yes, that is a crime...second degree felony, too) Nope, instead, I had a late meeting with the State Attorney at 5:30 today, and aftercare ends at 6:00. No way could I make the meeting, and then be on time to pick up T. So, I went and picked T up from school early, and brought her to the meeting. I was VERY nervous about this, and bribed T shamelessly with an offer to go to the restaurant for dinner if she was a good girl, and didn't say a word during our meeting.

I had visions of T sitting in the waiting room while I was in the meeting, but the SA said to bring her in. T was so good, I couldn't stand it. She answered the SA's questions, didn't interrupt once during the meeting, and charmed everyone. The SA even offered to pose for a picture with T. I, of course, whipped out my phone on the spot, and snapped off a few.

I like it. T looks very at home with the official flags. Perhaps she, too, may have a career in law enforcement in her future...

Parent - Teacher Conference

Today was my first Parent/Teacher Conference at the school. When given T's report card and seeing all C's, I was quite concerned. However, "C" merely indicates "I Can" vs. still working on it, or something else.
T also received a check plus in all categories except one. Go on, take a guess where my dear daughter is lacking and is still "working on skill".

That's right, the category of "I Work Quietly". Sees she's a bit too social at school. Same thing would happen to me. I'd come home with a report card full of A-3-C's. Anyway, all other reports were very good, so I was much relieved. T's teacher seems very laid back, and not phased at all by her acting out. I guess she's seen everything over the course of her almost 30 years teaching, so she has a lot more perspective on T's behavior than perhaps me.

So, I'll attempt to take a chill pill, and be a bit less type A about it all in the future.

I'm very proud of my girl!

Ran Errands

Today was a ho-hum day, but a cool ho-hum day. We woke up bright and early, and went to the park. T played and rode her bike a bit, then we headed to my parents, so my dad could sign some papers I needed to mail off. Then off to JCP, then Target, and while in the car wash at the gas station, I turned around to see this....

T was out cold.

Went back to my parents for a late lunch, then home. T doesn't know it, but we are anxiously awaiting the arrival of Aunt Dot, who has been traveling for the last 30 hours...literally. She's been on the long trek home from Manila, and arrived about an hour ago.

That's it for now...

I Love It!

Spent the WHOLE damn day at my parents house. Got there bright and early to meet the granite transformation people at 10:00. They were supposed to be there with the plumber, but he went to another job first...and proceeded to ruin my day.

Speaking of xmas trees (from the comments yesterday), I bought my parents this little number from home depot. You just pull it out of the box and plug it in. Its decorated and everything.

Anyway, back to the bathroom, to take out the old sink in the bathroom and install the counter, they had to turn off the water. They assured me that the plumber would be there at noon. WRONG. We were without water all damn day. Couldn't even flush the toilet. Oy.

Dumb plumber didn't get there until 5:15. I had to leave him working while I went to get T. Here is basically the finished product. I love it! It is amazing to me that they just lay it over the existing counter and voila.

I highly recommend this company. Just make sure that they coordinate better with the plumber, or you'll be waiting all day.

Here's a close up of the counter. You can't that well, but there is a brown speck in it that perfectly matches the brown in the tile.

Lastly, Dot has started the long trek home from Manila. T is very excited to see her tomorrow night.

MORE INFO FOR INQUIRING MINDS:

This company fabricates the "granite" at the factory based upon a template that they take of your existing counter. Granite is in quotes b/c its not real granite, its like ground up granite mixed with polymers. Instead of being real thick like stone, the countertop is about 1/4 of in inch thick and EXTREMELY strong and durable. More so than granite. Its so impermeable, that one can write on it with a sharpie and it wipes off. I got one of the more inexpensive styles. They can mix in call kinds of glasses, which can give it a sparkle for extra $$. You have to see the samples to understand what I'm talking about.

They cut the hole for the sink on site, and then laid this over the formica countertop. You can also get an undermount sink. I had to get drop-in due to the configuration of the existing plumbing.

They spread a special goop that was like mastic but not on the old countertop. Its a two part goop that when mixed together makes a space-age durable bond. They then put the new over the old, caulked the edges next to the wall, and called it a day. I put some contact numbers in the comments section and their website for anyone interested.

I Just Have to Laugh...

...or else I'd be crying. While walking to pick up T from school, I notice from afar that she's sitting in a chair and not running wild. Huh? What now?

The teachers report that she is in time out, and not for hitting anyone. What else could the child possible have done, you ask? I had teh same question. The answer???

SHE WAS THROWING ROCKS AT CARS!!

Good lord, will it never end? In her rambling recount of the event, T mentions Juan Jose. Not sure what his role in all of this was, but T was the only one in trouble. Luckily, she didn't hit any cars. Mrs. M reports that when asked what would happen if she hit a car, she said it would crash. So clearly, she knew what she was doing was wrong. Therefore, the punishment.

Mrs. M also reported, "and Boy she's got a really strong arm"

"Well of course she does", I replied. "Its the same motion as hitting."

What in the world will the child do next?

Meanwhile, a cold snap is coming to the swamp, and it might get down to the 50's tonight. T will be wearing her "winter uniform" for the first time: pants, long-sleeve shirt, and sweater. As for me, I'll be going over to my parents, as the new countertop in the upstairs bathroom will be installed.

I'm VERY excited. Hope it all goes well.

Fab Day

What an absolutely FAB day today has been! Woke up bright and early, and dumped T off at school. Then headed down toward dadeland mall, with the intent of going to JCP and T-r-us. Trouble is, I got down there so early that both were closed. What happened to JCP doorbuster sales and opening at 8:00 a.m. on holidays? So, I was bummed. Luckily, Target was around the corner and I went there to burn time, and noticed a little sign...

"We price match with any other advertised special"

Yippee! I just happened to have the T-r-us ad in the car from Sunday. I've been saving it. Did anyone else notice it? They had sales going on lots of games. So, I bought a few for family game night to give to t as xmas presents. Some were 3.99 - 9.99 for games that were priced at target from 14.99 to 23.99. I think I saved about 30 bucks or more. This worked out perfectly b/c I was worried that the other store would be out, given that today was that the sale had started days ago.

So, I scored the following:

Hi Ho Cheerio: reg 10.99 I got it for 3.99
Perfection: reg 21.99, for 9.99
Guess Who: reg 18.99 for 9.99
Memory Game: reg 5.00 for 3.99
Mouse trap: reg 17.99 for 9.99
Some Pig game that pops its trousers as it eats cookies: 17.99 for 9.99

I also picked up a folding razor scooter for T, that we'll be able to stick in the old schoolbus and play with whereever we find sidewalks. As of today, the bulk of my xmas shopping is now done, so the building stress I've been feeling is gone.

I then did an errand for my parents, made sure my mom took her medicine, then met a friend for lunch at rosa mexicali. It was so much fun having a real, adult lunch for once. The sangria helped too:).

Now we're home watching Up, which so far, is a real downer, but perhaps will bet better when the house actually goes "Up".

Great day!

My How She's Grown

Here's the annual picture we take to document this momentous day. The picture is evidence that my baby is in no way a baby any longer. As she constantly reminds me, she's a "little girl", complete with school uniform, dirt and sweat from playing all day, and a bedroom so messy even a teenager would admire it.
It seems that we're celebrating the day by watching Shrek tonight. Seems the more things change, the more they remain the same.

UPDATE: There is absolutely nothing better in the world than dancing around our livingroom with my daughter to the tune of "Then I Saw Her Face" on referral day!

I thought love was only true in fairy tales
Meant for someone else but not for me.
Love was out to get me
That's the way it seemed.
Disappointment haunted all my dreams.

Then I saw her face, now I'm a believer
Not a trace of doubt in my mind.
I'm in love, I'm a believer!
I couldn't leave her if I tried.

4 years Ago Today

The first time ever I saw your face
I thought the sun rose in your eyes
And the moon and stars were the gifts you gave
To the dark and the empty skies, my love,
To the dark and the empty skies.

Its Nice to Relax

What a restful day I had at work! I was able to lose myself in my work, and the day sped by and ended with a feeling of accomplishment. I met the roofer this morning, and I was done there in 15 minutes. Problem is, I wore grungy clothes in anticipation of being there for a while, and had to go home and change. The first inspection from the City is tomorrow, then they'll tar it and call for the final inspection. All should be done soon.

Meanwhile, I'm now trying to sell 24 church pews that are 14 feet long, and 2 that are 7 feet long. Wish me luck!

Hurry up wednesday!

...in T news, she was well behaved at school, and hasn't peed on anything but the bathroom toilet in over 24 hours. Things are looking up!

I'm Exhausted

Yep, the weekend has pretty much done me in. Hot on the heels of T's performance at the mall referenced below, she woke up the next morning and peed in my bed. Luckily for me, I had already gotten out. I was so mad I can't tell you. I'm not sure what's up with this sudden spat of inappropriate pee'ing, but its got to stop. Thank god for waterproof mattress pads!

I also discovered that T has lost a special key. Remember that nifty mirror/jewelry cabinet I bought a few months back? Yep, the key to that. My jewelry is now locked up and inaccessible until the thing is found our I figure out how to buy a new one. If I've told her once, I told her a million times not to play with it. Looked last night, and it was gone. No idea where it is.

Regarding my other two "children" ....Spent today cleaning out the last 1/2 of my parent's closet. Lets just say that it was a dirtier job than any of you could imagine. Yikes. One little gem I found inside was a bag of sheer curtain panels...8 of them. Receipt says they were purchased in 1977. As I recall, my mom was on a sheer curtain kick back then, and put them on all the windows in the house. She LOVED them. Of course, over the last 32 years, they've basically decayed where they hung and I got rid of most of them about 10 yrs ago. I put these "new" ones up on my mom's bedroom windows and she's thrilled. Plus, they actually look nice. Of course, they make the actual curtains that they hang behind look that much worse. The curtains are a bit older...circa 1969. New curtains is just one more item on the long list of things to do there.

Lastly, I'm about to purchase a new twin mattress set to be delivered there, so that I can sleep there if necessary. The ones they have in the guest room are circa 1969 as well. No way to sleep in it with my back. Its like sinking down into a marshmellow.

So, I'm thrilled to be back to work tomorrow...even though it will only be part-time. I'll be overseeing roofers for part of the day at a building that my dad owns. It, too, is a mess and I'm trying to sort that out as well.

That's it for now. I'm waiting for Wednesday with everything I have...its a holiday for me and school is in session. I'm going to try and do some xmas shopping, since I'll be by myself away from prying eyes. I'll indulge in a bit of retail therapy and alchoholic therapy at lunch, and there won't be any little mischief makers around to kill my buzz. Fabulous!

Night, night, all...

Friday, November 6, 2009

Oh.My.God.

So, I pick T up from school today, to a good report from the teacher that she was much better behaved and didn't stalk or wreak destruction on the other children...especially Rene. We go off to the Nordstrom's (which coincidently was having their 1/2 yearly sale), and have dinner. I have a big fat glass of wine, and am feeling FINE. VERY FINE.

I then tell T that I want to go downstairs to check out the purses. I've been eyeing a purse on the sale table for the last 6 - 8 months. Even on sale, they were asking an ungodly amount of money. More than I would EVER spend.

But it was beautiful.

Hot pink leather with a bit of a sheen to it. It had a long shoulder strap, which can go across the body freeing both my hands to deal with T. The perfect purse. I just knew that they'd drop the price for this sale...I was hoping they'd drop it 100 bucks, so I could 1/2 way justify the purchase.

We go downstairs, and it was sold. I was crushed. Then I spotted an even better purse. Purple patent-leather Coach purse. I LOVE IT. I buy it as a xmas present to myself, and then we go to the area where the steps are outside in the mall area, so T can play and run around.

I sit on the bench content with life, as T runs around this big grassy area with steps that she jumps around on. She's about 50 - 60 ft away at the furthest, on the concrete area, when I see her do the pee pee dance. She looks at me from afar, spreads her legs and squats. I start yelling like a crazy woman,

"Don't you do it!!"

My relaxed shopping-induced , alchohol-induced euphoria was shot to hell. IN SECONDS. She did it. She peed where she was standing, through her panties with her dress lifted up.

OH.MY.GOD.

Both my purse and my prized new purse, were both left on the bench forgotten as I went tearing across the lawn as fast as a fat, middle-aged lady with a bad back and bad foot could move. Oy. I'm not sure what embarassed T more: Her accident or her crazy mother.

I had to hunt up security to confess T's sin so that they could call maintenance, to deal with the puddle of pee. I was worried one of the babies or toddlers, who often play in the area, would unknowingly toddle right into it and start playing in pee. Yuck.

So ends our nice, relaxing evening at the mall.

Needless to say, we're now home taking baths.

I hope this isn't a harbinger of how the rest of the weekend will turn out...

I Jinxed Us

yep, I was chatting today with Marie, bragging about how I thought our days of T hitting other kids in the class were over...given our lessons about using words. I was feeling quite proud of myself for solving this little problem. I should have known.

I pick t up from school today, and Mrs. M informs me that "she didn't use words today".

Uh-oh.

In fact, she took a swipe at more than one kid.

I quizzed her in the car, and she only admitted to hitting one kid. Rene. Her best buddy. Her explanation? Rene was playing with the other kids.

Uh-oh.

Was somebody jealous? Does someone have stalker tendancies? Apparently when her love was playing with the other kids, she got mad and hit him and everybody else.

I have her making a card right now. She's insisting on signing it "love" instead of "your friend", because "he's my friend and I love him".

Could the kid at least wait until Jr. high, before making her poor mom deal with boy issues?

Dr. Report

We were at the doc this morning, and T got the general flu shot again (since the one she got last april was last year's version), and she got the H1N1 Sniff shot. Literally, they squirt the stuff up each nostril like nose spray. Ingenious method of delivery. Where was this when I was a kid? Hopefully, this will keep her from getting too sick in the coming months.

Regarding this chronic cough, the doc prescribed an inhaler, for T to breathe three times a day for the next week. If that doesn't knock the cough out, we'll explore antibiotics. Will pick up the meds later tonight or tomorrow.

Halloween Pics

Finally, I have some Halloween pics to post. Unfortunately, the bulk of the pics I took with Marie's camera turned out blurry. Apparently, these are the best of the lot, and all are from before we went out trick or treating. As you can see, T had lots of fun.

A marvelous plan was made in the stars,
to create a miracle across the ocean so far....
Then entwine and weave all the hopes and labor,
it would take to bring us this joy called "Taylor"....
Now three lives are blessed and somewhere in the stars,
the planners are smiling, as we all are.
