My How She's Grown

Here's the annual picture we take to document this momentous day. The picture is evidence that my baby is in no way a baby any longer. As she constantly reminds me, she's a "little girl", complete with school uniform, dirt and sweat from playing all day, and a bedroom so messy even a teenager would admire it.
It seems that we're celebrating the day by watching Shrek tonight. Seems the more things change, the more they remain the same.

UPDATE: There is absolutely nothing better in the world than dancing around our livingroom with my daughter to the tune of "Then I Saw Her Face" on referral day!

I thought love was only true in fairy tales
Meant for someone else but not for me.
Love was out to get me
That's the way it seemed.
Disappointment haunted all my dreams.

Then I saw her face, now I'm a believer
Not a trace of doubt in my mind.
I'm in love, I'm a believer!
I couldn't leave her if I tried.

Congratulations to you both - you found each other on your most special of days.

And yes, they do grow up too fast (for us), don't they. Yours is a little beauty. Such a sparkle in her eyes. Is that sheer joy mixed with a little bit of trouble?
:)

Enjoy your day!

Happy happy happy anniversary.....hugs to T. from her partner in crime, Sara.

A marvelous plan was made in the stars,
to create a miracle across the ocean so far....
Then entwine and weave all the hopes and labor,
it would take to bring us this joy called "Taylor"....
Now three lives are blessed and somewhere in the stars,
the planners are smiling, as we all are.
